Partners in Education: Green Bay East High School Devilettes

GREEN BAY — Discipline, technique, and heart, is what is behind every performance. Captain Kaitlin Martin, said she hopes to make a mark at school.
"I choreograph dances, I help the new girls skills, and get them to a level, where they'll one day be able to lead the team," said Martin. Although not making the team freshman year, Martin said she was determined to make it, "I came back sophomore year."
Sophomore Shamyia Brown, said it's the love of dance, that inspired her to pursue this team, "you have to be sharp and clean, and knowing your movements, if you don't know what you're doing, it shows."
What backs the team, is a strong coach, Julie Braun said she hopes to encourage these girls, just as they've inspired her, "their talent, dedication, and who they are, as human beings and individuals really makes me want to put in the extra time and work with them."
