Kennedy Elementary school in green bay is looking to upgrade their playground to better accommodate students of all abilities. They’ve entered a playground makeover sweepstakes in hopes of winning a new swing set.
School staff says with a number of students with autism in their building swings would offer a tool to soothe students. "Kids who have autism often have significant sensory needs and having swings helps them regulate their body so they can transition back into classroom,” said Kia Schilling
The School entered the Healthy Playground Sweepstakes through Together Counts. Voting ends March 24th.
