King Elementary School officially became a Children's Center for Engineering this school year. Principal Diane Stelmach says the focus will be teaching students to problem solve and think critically through STEM Subjects. "They need to be able to persevere and be the problem solvers of the future and in order to do that they have to learn how to do that," said Stelmach. With the new designation King is adding maker stations and flexible seating to the classroom to encourage group work and innovation.
