Fear not, Winnebago County runners. Oshkosh Marathon organizers say they're ready for the race, after plowing snow off the entire trail.

They say the entire trail is now dry and in great condition after the region dealt with the worst snow storm in more than 120 years.

“We are anticipating a large amount of participants this year due to the late cold weather.  Everyone is beginning to have spring fever,” said Ben West, Race Director, in a press release.

All three races, the full marathon, half marathon and 5K will begin at the Oshkosh Convention Center and end at the Leach Amphitheatre.

Race leaders say the race benefits lots of local charities and has raised more than $300,000.

“It is such a plus for our community. Everyone around here gets involved somehow” says Diane Lowe, an Oshkosh resident who has assisted in communications in the past, in a press release.
