An Oshkosh man was sentenced to 50 years in prison and 30 years extended supervision for sexually assaulting two women, brutally beating one of them.
Timothy Cole, 25, was sentenced Monday in Winnebago County court on several charges, including attempted first degree intentional homicide and second degree sexual assault.
According to court documents, a woman let Cole sleep on her couch in an Oregon Street apartment in Oshkosh in September 2016 because he was too drunk to go home.
When the woman went upstairs to change, Cole followed her and tried to have sex with her, police said. She refused.
Cole then became angry and brutally beat and sexually assaulted her, court documents said.
The woman was able to get the attention of police officers by throwing items out her apartment window and yelling for help.
Cole was also charged for another sexual assault a few weeks before that incident involving another woman.
He was sentenced Monday for both assaults.
