Oshkosh Area Humane Society to hold first kitten yoga class

Posted

Yoga enthusiasts have the chance to join some furry friends on the mat at the first-ever kitten yoga class at the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.

The class will be Saturday, November 18 at 2 p.m.

“One of our staff members is a yoga instructor and she actually came up with the idea to have a class here with some of our kittens,” said Executive Director Joni Geiger in a press release. “We posted the class on our Facebook page with 18 available spots and it filled up within a matter of hours.”

The class will be an hour long. Several kittens will be allowed to play and sit amongst the exercise mats.

“It might not be the most serious or focused yoga class but it’s definitely going to be fun…and furry,” said Geiger in a press release.

The class will be taught by OAHS staff member Gloria Simon-Kuzma, who has taught yoga for 15 years in the Fox Valley.
