PITTSBURGH, Pa — A couple of Yelich's batting practice bombs were flying into the Allegheny river so often that one of the boat owners actually called 911, thinking someone was throwing balls at the boat.

After police explained batting practice was taking place, the owner did not file a formal complaint and added "I guess if they weren't Pirates baseballs hitting boats, then it doesn't bode well for tonight's game."

The local district attorney joked about the incident on Twitter saying "We would love to bring Christian Yelich in for questioning regarding this incident. How's 7:05 tonight sound? I'm sure the Pirates would miss you but justice must be served."

Yelich says he's ready to put on a show in Monday night's home run derby.
