Some fans claim a controversial call made by NCAA referees cost the Badgers the Rose Bowl, and a West Allis eye doctor is doing something about it.
Dr. Eric Knight of Knight Vision and Glaucoma Specialists posted that any NCAA football referee could receive a free eye exam at his office due to a "lack of attention for eye care that has occurred" in the profession.
"Since we all now know that the offensive pass interference call, which potentially changed the outcome of [the] 2020 Rose Bowl was blatantly wrong, I will assume it was because the ref who called the play can't see," wrote Knight.
According to WTMJ Radio's Jay Sorgi , an offensive pass interference call against Wisconsin wide receiver Danny Davis was proven to be incorrect, costing the Badgers an opportunity to move the football toward a game-winning drive.
Knight Vision is offering a free, comprehensive eye exam and glasses for NCAA football refs.
"The offer is good for the entire year (Wisconsin residents are actually very forgiving and nice)," said Knight.
