NEENAH (NBC 26) -- The Walk Across Lake Winnebago event schedule for February 1st of 2020 has been cancelled due to ice conditions. The decision to cancel was made for everyone's safety.

Entertainment for the day is still on for everyone to attend.

The event coordinators say there will be a bus to Bobber's Bar in Hilbert leaving Mikeee's Paynes Point Bar at 10:30 a.m. then returning for the 2 p.m. entertainment. They ask those who are interested to save their seat on the bus by REGISTERING HERE.

Live music by The Polar Project Unplugged will be performed at the Vinland Still & Grill starting at 2 p.m. Then music by Back'n Kickin will be at Mikeee's Paynes Point Bar in a heated tent starting at 5 p.m.

This year's event proceeds are going to the Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue.

Event coordinators say there will be no refunds for those who registered or ordered items, but there will be two pick up dates to get what you've paid for. All who registered to participate have at least a hat to pick up.

Pick up will be at the Paynes Point Hook & Spear Fishing Club, Inc. located at 1934 County Road A in Neenah. Times for pick up are January 25th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and January 30th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

According to event coordinators there will be extra attire available for purchase at pick up. They also thank everyone for their understanding and support for the event.
