BROWN CO. (NBC 26) -- As the days go by during the Safer at Home order and the weather gets nicer, health officials say it's okay to feel worried, angry, and stressed during this time.

They want to let you know there are resources available to help you deal with these emotions in a healthy way. You can find them at stayhealthbc.com.

With numbers increasing, the county continues to urge people to social distance. Brown County Health officials say some of the biggest problems we are seeing as a county is not enough people are staying home or following the social distancing guidelines.

Here are a few examples of what you should consider to help slow the spread:

  • They say even if you're just going for a walk outside, along with CDC guidelines, health officials recommend you wear a mask.
  • Claire Paprocki with the health department said there seems to be a misconception that you can still get together with your family. She said if you do not live with them, you shouldn't be getting together with them. Like the picture above, this means you should not get together with grandparents, neighbors and other family members. She said it's hard to do, but it's a rule that will hopefully change soon. Until then, you should only gather with the people inside your household or living unit.
  • When you're taking a trip to the store, like Target, Costco, Home Depot or your grocery store, you should be sure to stay six-feet away from other people. Paprocki said it may take a little longer to complete your trip, but it's a simple step everyone can take. This also goes for when you're out on the trails or at a park. "Just because you're outside doesn't mean you can't spread the virus," Paprocki said.
