SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — A 14-year-old boy is arrested for his role in a handgun hoax at a Sheboygan school, according to police.
Authorities responded to Sheboygan South High School at 1240 Washington Ave. around 2:00 Thursday afternoon after receiving a phone call that a student had a handgun inside the school, police said.
The school was immediately put on lockdown. However, officers were not able to locate the caller or any evidence of a threat.
The Sheboygan Police Department says they have arrested a 14-year-old boy for his part in the hoax.
They now say they are trying to determine who else could be responsible for the call.
