Survey: 40% of downtown De Pere businesses risk closing permanently due to coronavirus

DE PERE (NBC 26) -- Information from De Pere city documents quoting a survey by Definitely De Pere shows that 40 percent of downtown De Pere businesses risk closing down permanently if the coronavirus crisis lasts three-to-five months.

60 percent of downtown businesses saw revenues drop by more than 75 percent. 15 percent are behind on payments.

50 percent have laid off employees.

The City is being asked to contribute to a fund that would provide emergency financial help to downtown De Pere businesses that are struggling due to the pandemic. Find more information here.
