It is anything but a typical Easter weekend. With that in mind, the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club sought out to provide meals to families in the Door County community.
On Saturday, April 11, 250 servings of a pasta meal will be supplied to area families to take home and enjoy together.
This is in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Door County. When the “Stay At Home” order went into effect, the Boys & Girls Club of Door County partnered with the Door County Community Foundation, Door County Medical Center, United Way of Door County & the YMCA to act quickly to get a meal pick-up program in place. The goal was to help people with food insecurity.
The Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club saw the need to provide a meal for those in need over the long Easter, holiday weekend.
On Saturday, they are preparing a huge spaghetti feast including Bolognese sauce, noodles, rolls and salad. These meals are going to be packaged for each family to bring home and enjoy. They will be providing 250 servings of free food.
