(NBC 26) - Thousands of dollars will be donated to the Salvation Army of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan's (WUM) Covid-19 response efforts, but only with your help.
An anonymous donor will provide $125,000 in a donation match if WUM can raise up to that amount in cash donations.
"With a record number of layoffs and reduced work hours, the need for assistance continues to rise. Providing meals for hungry families, the elderly and children out of school is a top priority," said Major David Minks. "Your donations will help us respond quickly to the most vulnerable among us."
The match will run from now until June 1. They said based on national averages, here's a look at how your money can help:
$10 = feeds a person in need for 1 day
$30 = provides one food box containing staple foods for a family of 4
$250 = provides a hot, to-go meal for 100 people
You can make donations by online here.
