Previewing Octoberfest with Craft Beer Preview sampling

APPLETON (NBC26) -- Octoberfest is this weekend in downtown Appleton. There will be several local and imported beers for folks to enjoy, but you can get a free sample Wednesday at D2 in downtown Appleton as part of the Craft Beer Preview event.

It starts at 5 p.m. and goes until 7 p.m.
Folks can try nine different beers at the event.

Wisconsin Distributors wants to remind everyone to always drink responsibly. Always plan ahead and have a ride home. There are several options for safe rides including discounts.

You can catch your UBER and LYFT safely on the north side of Washington Street from Oneida Street west to Superior Street. This is only one block north of the event. This is also where charter buses will load and unload passengers.

Anyone using the promo code OFEST can receive a $5 discount on their LYFT.

SHUTTLE FROM KIMBERLY: Tanner’s Grill and Bar in Kimberly will offer a continuous shuttle on Saturday during Octoberfest from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM. For only $5 a person you get unlimited trips back and forth from Tanners to downtown, coupons for 10% off Tanners food, and a free domestic tap beer at Mill Creek! Their bus picks up in the front parking lot of Tanner’s and drops off at the designated area on Washington Street from Oneida Street west to Appleton Street.
