Police in Fox Crossing have a message for everyone: lock it up!
Police say there were several thefts from unlocked vehicles and garages last week, not specific to just one neighborhood.
Police say in many cases, it's a crime of opportunity. Some of these thefts have happened in broad daylight.
"If you think you live in a safe community and there is no need to lock up your car and home, criminals think the same way and prey on those neighborhoods," police stated in an email to news media.
So, lock your car and garage, and remove any valuable items from view or put them in the trunk.
