OCONTO (NBC 26) -- Oconto will reopen city-owned boat launches on Friday, the city stated in a news release.
"While we understand that there are still valid concerns about COVID-19, we also understand that outdoor activities like fishing are being encouraged," the news release states.
Those who use the launches are encouraged to maintain social distancing and take all precautions to avoid the possible spread of the virus, the city says.
The city also says Harbor Masters will be on duty at Breakwater Park to assist in enforcing the social distancing and other precautions.
If these requirements are not being followed, the city says the launches may be closed again.
