APPLETON (NBC 26) -- Appleton Fire Department responded to a home fire around 1 a.m. Saturday. They say no one was injured.
The fire happened on the 700 block of West Wisconsin Ave.
Reponders received reports of smoke coming from the chimney and other areas of the roof as well as flames being visible on the West side of the residence.
Upon arrival, fire crews searched the building and determined there were no occupants home at the time of the fire.
The Appleton Fire Department credits teamwork and collaboration from all responding agencies for the early reporting and quick extinguishment of the fire.
The Department says the fire appears to be accidental in nature.
