GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC26) -- The National Railroad Museum is sharing the stories on the passenger experience in the 1940 - 1960's.The Passenger Experience: 1940-1960 is a temporary exhibit and will only by at the museum for a year.
The exhibit was created by the National Railroad Museum to highlight the way railroads changed to attract travelers during a time when automobiles and planes were becoming popular. This exclusive exhibit includes uniforms from railroad service workers, such as the Harvey Girls and the Zephyrettes, a replica of a railroad bar, vintage advertisements, railroad china, and other objects commonly used during the era.
Open during regular Museum hours, The Passenger Experience: 1940-1960 is available to the public through January 3, 2021.
