GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- NeighborWorks Green Bay focuses on bettering communities by building affordable homes and remodels in areas that may need some upgrades.

NeighborWorks is finishing up two current projects in the 400 and 500-blocks of 5th Street in Green Bay. Both projects got started last October and will be finished this June. They were built in tandem with the help of students in the Green Bay School District as a part of the Bridges Construction and Renovation program. Unfortunately the students will not get to help in finishing the projects due to safer at home orders from coronavirus.

NeighborWorks was able to work with contractors to help finish the project, but they say they're looking forward to next year. They already have a project for next year picked out. It is a vacant lot near West High School so it will be a brand new home.
