NEENAH (NBC 26) -- Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue (NMFR) took advantage of the weather to practice shore based surface water rescue Friday.
According to NMFR's website, all divers are tested annually and must have a minimum of five open water dives and one ice dive every 18 months to maintain their certification.
Some places the divers practice is in local lakes, rivers, ponds, quarries, and pools. This water rescue practice happened at the Riverside Park in Neenah.
They say this training helps prepare them for a variety of water conditions and entanglement hazards they may have to respond to.
