TOWN OF BELLEVUE, Wis. — Brown County Sheriff's Office and the Bellevue Fire Departments responded to a natural gas leak at the Kwik Trip in the town of Bellevue.
According to the Brown County Sheriff's office at around 6;30 Tuesday evening a semi-truck from Green Bay was at a pump and started leaking natural gas.
Witnesses tell NBC26 they could smell natural gas in the area surrounding the station.
Multiple streets were blocked off to traffic while the situation was being investigated.
The driver of the semi quickly shut off the the gas valve before fleeing the scene for safety. All gas pump valves were shut down and the Kwik Trip was evacuated for safety.
Investigators say the fuel line on the semi truck caused the leak. The scene was cleared before 8:00pm.
No one was hurt.
