CRIVITZ (NBC26) - Winter came calling with a mixture of snow, rain and wind Wednesday.

"It's normal, fair for Crivitz, up north. Every winter it’s like this,” said Vlad Billy.

While Wisconsinites might be used to the season, it's hitting while thousands are traveling home for holiday festivities. Just outside of Crivitz, the snow would not let up.

"I live like 5 miles that way,” Billy said. “Just getting out of the lot, it’s getting hard, even in the SUV."

As plow drivers took to the streets, you'd only have to travel a few miles out of town to find roads, with barely a trace of the snowy mess. If you take a look at this post from the Marinette County Sheriff's Office, you can see the difference!

"You live in Wisconsin. It’s normal, you know what you have to do,” Billy added. “Be careful around the snow; be careful around the ice. Try to wait until the roads are salted if it starts to freeze."
