DOOR COUNTY (NBC 26) -- The Gibraltar/Washington Island High School Baseball Team donated $1,500 to the Door County Fire Chiefs Association Coalition recently.
In an email to NBC 26, the team's coach, Jay Kita, said the players also donated $500 to the Washington Island Community Health Program.
These donations are intended to help others during the coronavirus pandemic.
The coach said this was the fundraising money they raised to play in a baseball tournament at Woodside Sports Complex in Wisconsin Dells this spring.
