LAKE WINNEBAGO, Wis. — Despite some rough weather on Sunday, spearers harvested more than 100 sturgeon.
Nobody speared a bigger fish than Michael Bohow on Sunday. He harvested a 77 inch, 148 pound sturgeon.
Others found success as well. In total on Sunday, spearers took in 56 sturgeon on Lake Winnebago and 52 from the upriver lakes. That makes the two day harvest 153 on Winnebago and 182 on the Upper Lakes.
Those upper lakes numbers are about halfway to the cap for the season.
