GREEN BAY, Wis. — Police say an officer rescued a baby owl who fell from its nest.

According to a Facebook post, Officer Van Erem assisted with a great horned fledgling that had fallen Wednesday.

Since the animal was too young to be on its own, Officer Van Erem took the owlet to the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary to receive additional care until it is ready to be released.
