Goodwill is reopening its retail stores and training centers in Northeast Wisconsin.

The doors opened to both shoppers and donors Tuesday morning with new safety procedures in place.

Among the changes, team members will wear masks and when they handle donations, they will wear gloves. Plexiglass barriers have been installed at registers and social distancing markers have been put in place to help keep everyone safe.

"It's really cool! Our store leaders are so excited, and they've worked so hard over these last couple months to make it a fantastic experience for customers to come back to,” Katie Van Gompel, the Goodwill Vice President of Retail. “And if there are people out there that haven't shopped Goodwill, now's the perfect time to experience all of the wonderful treasures that you can find."

Team members will also have their temperatures taken before they begin working.
