Driver arrested after intentionally hitting person with car in Grand Chute

GRAND CHUTE (NBC 26) - Saturday night a person was hit by car in the Woodman’s parking lot in Grand Chute.

Grand Chute Police said it was an intentional act of violence by the driver. The male was hit as he was standing in front of the store. Police say there is no known relationship between the two.

The male was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police said through further investigation, they found the vehicle and the driver. The driver was arrested, during which the suspect tried to take the officer's gun and failed.

The driver is facing multiple charges including 1st degree recklessly endangering safety and hit and run causing injury.

The department is asking anyone with information related to the hit and run, to contact them.
