There is community spread of coronavirus in Door County, according to Door County Public Health.
“Community spread means spread of an illness for which the source of infection is unknown,” according to an announcement on the county’s website.
Community spread means it is a mystery as to how or where someone was infected, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Door County reported 14 total cases as of Friday.
Seven of those have recovered.
Three of those have died.
“The positive Door County cases are not concentrated in any one locality, they are scattered throughout the county,” according to the update from Door County Public Health.
“Travel to and from Door County is highly discouraged at this time,” the post continued.
