DE PERE, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The owner of Azure said they are taking precautions and making plans to keep employees and customers safe once the store is able to reopen.

Shanna Zeitler, the owner of Azure, said the store had its 10 year anniversary in April. She's looking forward to being able to reopen the store once the Safer at Home order is over.

"We are planning on opening on the 26th. Obviously, things could change from there, but that is our plan currently," said Zeitler.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation has guidelines for businesses to reopen available on its website. The guidelines were specific to industries, including retail, gyms, hair and nail salons, restaurants and more.

After reading through the guidance for retail, Zeitler said they were already planning to do most of what was recommended. She said face masks have been ordered for employees, as well as disposable masks for customers. She said they also have sanitizer and will be wiping down the counters after every transaction while also practicing social distancing throughout the store.

"We will be putting things in the fitting rooms. Essentials as far as wipes, Kleenexes, sanitizer, masks, more masks, just everything we can do," added Zeitler.

She said cleanliness of the store is always a top priority. Customers will still be able to try on clothes, but after, she said they will be steaming the clothes. Then, anything that's been tried on will be taken off the floor for 72 hours. This is something recommended in the guidelines. She said they will do the same for jewelry. Zeitler said she thinks the guidelines are helpful as they prepare to reopen.

"It gives us the guidelines to make sure we are as prepared as we can be to move forward in our business, so I am absolutely happy that they are doing that," said Zeitler. "The more information recommendations we can have the better."
