Comparing United States response to other countries trying to 'flatten the curve'

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Officials say the goal is to "flatten the curve." What that means is keeping the amount of cases of coronavirus at a manageable level so patients don't overwhelm the healthcare system.

The more new cases we see means we can see a higher curve.

Population Health Analyst, Drew Harris says there's a clear difference between South Korea's and Italy's response to the coronavirus.
Harris says the United States was late in its response to the pandemic. He adds in terms of testing, the U.S. is currently looking more like Italy, but that could still change. He said the changes we make today wouldn't show the effects for weeks.

Harris emphasizes there's a lot people can do to help each other and maintain control. Simply reminders such as washing your hands and continuing to practice social distancing.
