GREEN BAY (NBC 26) - We see them so often, all those cute cat videos online. Sunday, those videos were on the big screen to raise money for a local pet sanctuary.
CatVideoFest is part of a nationwide event. Sunday evening, a special cat video tribute featuring the latest and best cat videos showcased at Marcus Bay Park Cinema.
The money raised locally is donated to Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary, a place that helps animals in need in Brown County.
"To be able to see the proceeds go right back into our community, is awesome. Special needs cats, it’s not cheap to take care of them,” said Brett Pociask, the assistant manager at Marcus Theatres.
Last year was the first event locally and Pociask said he expects the turnout to double.
