GREEN BAY, Wis. — Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary hosted a wildlife rehab training on Saturday.

This program is made up of volunteer members who nurture injured animals and orphaned wildlife for release back into the wild.

With these events, they hope to grow that volunteer base.

"A huge part in us being able to give back, help give these animals a second chance," Matt Rupnik said. "An animal that may be injured by being hit by a vehicle, or hitting a window, or maybe mom is no longer in the picture. They can get that second chance to get out in the wild."

Officials said that it's a great feeling to see volunteers join their mission.
