Despite those cold temperatures today, plenty of people took the plunge in Oshkosh.

On Saturday, hundreds jumped into the water at Menominee Park.

The event is part of a fundraiser that goes toward the Special Olympics in Wisconsin.

Organizers say the event say more people are joining in on the fun.

"The event seems to grow every year with participants. They come and they do it, and they're excited to come back. They bring more team members, and coworkers. The event has grown and continues to grow,” said Nicci Sprangers.

Last year 1,500 people took the plunge in Oshkosh and raised more than 400,000 dollars.
