The construction for two trestle bridges that will connect the 'Loop the Little Lake" trestle project is underway.
Leaders with the project say by connecting the 5K loop will encourage tourism, business and promote a healthy lifestyle in the Neenah and Menasha area.
Currently the existing trail has more than 350,000 visitors, according to Future Neenah group.
Funding for the project is being provided by a combination of grants, fundraising and partnership from municipalities.
The bridges will have a kayak launch, bike parking and some great fishing amenities.
The project is expected to be finished by June of 2018.
