The Packers have announced Deanna Favre will introduce her husband, Brett into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. They have stood by each others' sides in numerous challenging personal situations: Favre's addiction to painkillers in the early part of his career, his father's death in 2003, her breast cancer issues later that decade.
“Deanna is the best teammate I’ve ever had. She has been by my side throughout this journey and I’m so excited that she gets to play such an important role for me,” Brett said in a Hall of Fame statement. The Hall says Favre is the second wife to present her husband for a Hall of Fame induction, with Mike Singletary's wife Kim doing the same in 1998.
“Serving as Brett’s presenter is a great honor,” Deanna added in the same statement. “I am thrilled to be able share this special moment in time with him.”
The Hall of Fame also Tweeted Deanna's address is rare.
