Both northbound lanes of I-41 near Highway 26 in Winnebago County are re-opened Saturday, after a truck falls off an overpass onto the highway.
The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office says the driver of the pickup truck didn't make the curve on Highway 26 around 4:00 a.m. and fell off the bridge onto I-41 below, hitting a car traveling on the interstate.
The drivers were the only people in both vehicles, and were taken to the hospital with what police call serious injuries.
The crash re-construction team was on the scene until about 8:00 Saturday morning before all of the lanes were re-opened.
