APPLETON (NBC 26) -- The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Appleton is now at 40, after the city confirmed two more cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
In these two new cases, the city of Appleton said both residents live in the Outagamie County portion of the city. The source of infection is still under investigation for both people.
In all, Appleton said Tuesday there are currently 25 residents in isolation, two residents under investigation and 12 residents who had COVID-19 have been released from isolation. One resident has passed away from the virus.
The city's health department continues to investigate and expects the number of coronavirus cases to rise.
