GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Representative Mike Gallagher (R-Green Bay) announced he is partnering with Brown County Health Department to run a drive for Personal Protective Equipment.
The congressman's office states in a news release the drive offers people the opportunity to donate extra PPE to Northeast Wisconsin hospitals and first responders. The drive will begin on Tuesday, March 31, and run as long as needed.
The PPE most requested by Brown County Health Department include:
- Masks (N95 masks, P95 masks, N100 masks, N100 masks, HEPA masks, and P100 masks)
- Medical gloves
- Isolation gowns
“Healthcare workers and first responders across Northeast Wisconsin work around the clock to keep us safe, and we should do all we can to ensure they’re protected from the coronavirus,” said Rep. Gallagher.
According to Ann Steinberger, acting public health officer for Brown County Public Health, the health department is calling on companies, schools and other establishment that may have unused protective equipment available in their facilities do donate whatever they can.
Those wishing to donate PPE should e-mail WI08donations@gmail.com or call 920-301-4500 to establish a drop-off time and location with staff. Donations of all sizes will be accepted at pre-determined times during the week. Further details will be provided to those who call or e-mail, Rep. Gallagher's office said.
