GREEN LAKE COUNTY (NBC 26) -- Green Lake County Public Health announced Thursday that there is one probable case of coronavirus in the county.
A "probable" case means a person who came in contact with someone confirmed to have coronavirus and is displaying coronavirus symptoms.
"In these instances, a healthcare provider may choose not to test the individual, especially if symptoms are mild and in instances where testing would likely not change the outcome of the case," Green Lake County Public Health states in a news release.
Without laboratory confirmation, the person is assumed to have coronavirus based on risk but is not considered a confirmed positive. This person is treated the same as someone confirmed to have coronavirus and is asked to remain in self-isolation. Health officials will monitor the person's symptoms.
