MARINETTE COUNTY (NBC 26) — Free testing for coronavirus is available in Marinette County for Wednesday and Thursday.

The National Guard is assisting emergency management to provide the drive-through nasal swab testing in Crivitz from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Testing is at the Marinette Co. Highway Shop in Crivitz.

The test is free if you have at least one symptom, but Marinette Co. Highway Commissioner Eric Burmeister tells us as long as they have tests available, most people who request a test will get one.

"These tests are open to not only Marinette city residents, but any Wisconsin resident can come through this test site. Or even if you live in Michigan, as long as they're working for a Wisconsin based company, they're eligible to be tested," said Burmeister.

The county hopes to test 900 people by Thursday.
