BROWN COUNTY (NBC 26) -- Brown County health officials reported Friday there are now more than 600 coronavirus cases in the county.

There are reportedly 618 cases in the county, with the Oneida Nation reporting 6 cases.

Twenty-three people are currently hospitalized, while 35 people are now out of isolation. The number of coronavirus deaths in the county remain at 2.

There are 107 new cases as of Friday. Previously, the county saw a cluster of cases at meat packing facilities. These include JBS, which has 189 linked cases; American Foods Group has 75 linked cases; and Salm Partners has 23, according to health officials.

Based on tours and information gathered by Public Health, Brown County health officials say all three facilities are following guidance properly to assure their workplace and employees are safe, and that social distancing protocols are being followed properly. Health officials say aggressive testing is working and fewer employees are showing symptoms.

Health officials add there are more cases coming from community members than meat plants at this point. Health officials continue to urge people to social distance.

Additionally, they say there have been no links of coronavirus cases to the April 7 election at this point.
