The City of Appleton confirmed Tuesday the total number of confirmed coronvirus cases is now at 11 in the city. It comes after the Appleton Health Department received notice Tuesday of another resident who tested positive.
According to a statement from the city, the resident lives in the Outagamie County portion of the city. The case was acquired through contact with a confirmed coronavirus individual. The resident is in isolation.
The health department is working to contact people who came in close contact with this latest coronavirus case. Close contacts will be educated about self-monitoring their health status by our health department nurses. They will be required to do daily symptom and temperature checks; as well as quarantine themselves for 14 day as a precaution.
