2018 marks 8 years since the Supreme Court's Decision for "Citizens United".

One group is working to overturn the federal law.

“Wisconsin United to Amend” held an event called the "unhappy birthday party for Citizens United" on Sunday.

The case dates back to the Supreme Court’s decision that made it illegal to limit money provided to political candidates.

Group members say their goal is to take money out of politics by getting law makers to add a 28th amendment.

"It’s a good time to look at that, because it's so evident right now, how much money is influencing our politics in 2017 and 2018,” said Karen Bachhuber

The group says there are bills in committee that would bring this to the forefront in Wisconsin.
