Caregivers will be pampered at the Caregiver Appreciation Event

Posted

It can often seem like a thankless job, but hard working caregivers now have the chance to kick back and relax.

Friends and family who provide care to others can stop by the Caregiver Appreciation Event. It's on Sunday, November 5th from 1:00-3:30pm at the Grand Meridian in Appleton.

The Outagamie Caregiver Coalition and the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Calumet, Outagamie and Waupaca Counties are hosting the event to pamper caregivers. You can enjoy massages, a chocolate bar and desserts, music, fun games and hors d'ouevres.

"We really just want to try and have it be a space that you can come, you can relax and interact with other caregivers, and maybe come away a little refreshed," said Annette Hetrick with the Outagamie Caregiver Coalition.

The event is free. You must register by calling (920) 225-1700.
