Bear cubs rescued from trash bin in Nevada

WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. - Three bear cubs in Nevada found themselves in a sticky situation over the weekend, but luckily, a few firefighters came to the rescue.

Three young bears were stuck in a garbage bin near Lake Tahoe Sunday morning.

Firefighters with the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District woke up Saturday night to the sound of a garbage bin tipping over, according to the department's Facebook post.

The next morning, firefighters say they saw an agitated mama bear watching over the bin. In a video shared by the department, firefighter lifted the lid of the bin so the bear cubs could escape.

The three little bears then cautiously escaped from the bin and scurried off into the woods.
