Ashwaubenon Public Safety officers say they are investigating suspicious situations at local stores.
They say one incident was reported on Tuesday around 12:30 p.m. A woman said she was followed and approached by a white man in his 30’s. She told officers the man motioned for her to come over to his van. She then ran away. She later told co-workers and the reported it to police several hours later. They were unable to identify a person of interest.
Officers say in a separate incident over the weekend, a man was in another store, allegedly recording young girls on his cell phone. Officers say he left in an older maroon minivan.
Ashwaubenon Public Safety says they cannot emphasize enough the importance of contacting police right away without hesitation so they can investigate immediately.
“Don't think that you're bothering us because you're not,” said Capt. Jody Crocker with Ashwaubenon Public Safety. “We're not going to show up and tell you that your complaint was fruitless and or that it was unwarranted because if you're concerned about your safety, that’s we're here for.”
