Appleton teen stabbed after drug deal gone wrong

Fox Crossing officers say a 16-year-old Appleton teen was stabbed after a drug deal gone wrong.

Officers were called to the ER at St. Elizabeth Hospital around 9 p.m. Wednesday after a teen suffered a stab wound that happened near S. Memorial Drive and Valley Road.

Officers learned through the investigation that a drug transaction was set up between several individuals behind a building in the 1100 block of Valley Road. A fight ensued and a 17-year-old teen took a knife from his pocket and stabbed the 16-year-old victim.

The suspect from Neenah was located a short time later in Neenah. He has been arrested and is in the Winnebago County Jail on charges of 1st degree reckless injury.

The victim is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
