One of the busiest shopping days of the year came to an end Friday.

Area shoppers left their homes on Black Friday hunting for bargains.

"We come every Black Friday, get up really early," said Kimmery Weber, visiting Bay Park Square Mall from Shawano.

Some stores at Bay Park Square Mall in Ashwaubenon stayed open through Thanksgiving night, and offered special deals to customers closing at 10pm on Black Friday.

"Some people like to shop in the middle of the night,” Director of Marketing Stephanie Blavat-Vesely said.  “Some like to be here in the middle of the day. It just depends on the person and I think we cater to everyone."

Scott Jewitt, of De Pere, was also shopping in the mall.  He said his family loves Black Friday.

"We love the hustle and bustle coming out and seeing everyone just so vibrant around this time of year," he said.

People could also find deals away from the mall.

Stillmank Brewing Company in Green Bay hosted a special event called “Kegs and Eggs”.

"They have bottle releases all year long, but the Black Friday ones, are the ones I look forward to every year," said customer Joshua Bahr.

Owner Brad Stillmank said they offer specials for the occasion.

"We do two beers,” said Stillmank.  “One of them we call Paramnesia. It's an imperial oatmeal style that we've aged for over a year in brandy barrels and then we have a blended and barrel aged porter that we do, two special releases for today."

Stillmank also had drinks on tap and food provided by Zozo's Kitchen.
