Offices across the country will seem a bit empty on the Monday after the Super Bowl. The day is known as 'Super Sick Monday.'

The Workforce Institute at Kronos and Mucinex released a new survey that estimates nearly 14 million Americans who plan to watch Super Bowl LII plan to call in sick Monday, February 5. Researchers found 1 in 5 Americans called in sick the Monday after the big game in years past.

The companies surveyed 2,000 people. 25 percent think the day after the Super Bowl should be considered a national holiday.

The most common reason to call in sick is a fever. Having a sore throat, and a headache round out the top three excuses.
